Biography

Oluwasola Soyele was born on the 2nd of March, in Lagos, Nigeria. As the second of four children, Sola's sisters and parents have supported him through "many life hurdles." He started his education at Mount Camel Nursery and Primary School, Ebute-Meta, Lagos, and has gone on to complete his academic program at the University of Ibadan.

As an innate philosopher, who also bagged Honours in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Sola is an astute critical thinker who philosophizes about almost anything (mostly Life & Success). According to him, philosophy has helped widen his perspective of life, and has made him more critical as a writer.

Among many other things, Sola is an encourager who believes that "…our ONE life on earth should be maximized as much as possible, to accomplish our NUMEROUS valid dreams." When awake, he is often caught writing or speaking on inspirational subjects. And, more often than not, he is found adding value to the lives of people around him.

"I'm awfully vulnerable to brilliant artworks, impeccable musical chords, and nice perfumes."

Writing History

His writing voyage began with a mental quest for more in life. Having isolated a lot as a child, Sola found himself seeking to experience life beyond the usual. "Through writing, I realized that I could go anywhere, be anyone, live any life... Writing was like an alternate universe where I could live out the life I had only dreamed of." He added that, "I met the kind of friends I never had or wished I had; I expressed my deepest fears, worries and hopes, all in writing." Many of his first works, as he claims, have become lyrics to songs he may never sing and pages of books he may never print.

As a creative writer, Sola finds remarkable stories in the littlest things. From senior school, essays had become, for him, a delightful adventure to immerse himself in. Sola would not miss any opportunity to let his imaginations run wild on paper; and when papers did not suffice, he was at the mercy of many ridiculous materials including receipts, tissue papers, event flyers, and anything else.

In the university, instead of working with the press, he started an online page that did not thrive too well. Sola Soyele describes himself as an introvert and recounts some incidents when his endless thirst for solitude had cost him opportunities he would have enjoyed. Now, he manages TheGoodFelo Africa, a literary organization that focuses on creating a sustainable platform that would serve as leverage for young writers to exercise their skills and use their creativity to positively influence their communities. TheGoodFelo is a non-profit that is dedicated to discovering and revealing the unique talents of African young writers, and, concurrently, it serves as a confluence where readers can connect with quality contents.

He is the author of "Happiness, A Crazy Choice," an inspirational, non-fictional piece, that enlightens today's people on how to experience true Happiness in "real life"! Having completed several self-improvement books and fictional literature, Sola is able to achieve his fundamental goal: helping US become better humans. He is known to have a pleasant style of presenting life's subtle truths in remarkably clear, relatable, and interesting ways, thereby edifying and encouraging readers to make better decisions that would undeniably affect the quality of their lives.

Over a decade of writing, Sola Soyele has completed more than 200 literary works including poetry, short stories, a novel, self-improvement books, articles and drama pieces. He states that when the inspiration to write comes, "…it comes with a style, genre, and mood of its own." He goes by the personal mantra that, "Anything that makes another person a better human is surely worth writing.

In 2019, he worked at a radio station in Ibadan. There he developed content for a weekly show, as well as designs for their social media unit. Music History

Sola has written and co-written many songs for himself and others respectively. His long list of songs includes, "Eternally," featuring Minister Ebahi Tayo-Ogunleye, which happened to be his official first single, released in the year 2020. His second single, "You Are Big" was later released in December 2021 and is currently being streamed worldwide.

Sola's passion for worshipping God has helped him birth many songs. As a singer, songwriter, and literary artiste, Sola's purpose is to stir people up to live their best lives in God. He leads both young and old to worship God with their lives and bring Him delight always.

Although he grew up in a family where his father, a multi-instrumentalist, was a long-serving Music Director at a Baptist Church, Sola claims that this did not inspire or influence his own music career. Aside from singing, his music interest extends to songwriting, arrangement and composition.
